About the event

M4P has been dormant, dreaming, plotting it's return, and it's back on October 23rd, undead, in all of it's glory!

This Halloween, M4P is trading the typical Halloween party for something with actual fangs — a night inspired by Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. The night features a free community mixer, a costume contest for the brave, King Esnce on the mic hosting the night, an immersive Filipino folklore performance from KAŌS that will absolutely get under your skin, and a dance floor built for creatures of the night!

Every dollar you spend at M4P sustains the work of 45+ BIPOC beings who ensure that spaces like Music 4 the Ppl and the Earth Month Convergence are reborn and can continue to do this wicked work, sometimes with a $0 budget, all year long. Think of it less as a ticket purchase and more of a blood pact, you give a little and the movement gets to live for longer (and hopefully, forever)!

This is a night to move your body, and your money, towards the people doing the work.

Limited Full Night Bundles. 75 seats for the performance. The undead do not rush tickets, claim your place before it's too late 🦇

WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

Every dollar tonight pays funds the 45+ BIPOC organizers behind the Earth Month Convergence people who do this work year-round, often with a $0 budget and as volunteers.

Tonight's goal: $10,000 toward EMC's $16,000 annual budget.

Flatbush Mixtape's build-out of their Drip Coffee Lounge community fridge. Since then, we've:

  • moved $500K directly to historically marginalized communities

  • reached 7,580+ attendees

  • hosted 90+ workshops led by grassroots eadersleaders

  • supported 9 hyperlocal BIPOC/LGBTQ+ partner orgs year-round

What is Music 4 the Ppl (M4P)?

M4P brings organizers, activists, and community members into the same room as BIPOC creatives, building a space where collective joy is centered — where you dance, connect, and leave feeling more in relation with the people doing movement work alongside you. We believe that celebration, joy, and community are integral to keeping our movements flowing and our people in synergy and solidarity with one another.

This isn't just a party. It's how we keep each other funded, fed, and bound to one another.

About the Earth Month Convergence

Frontline communities in NYC — especially Black, Brown, Indigenous, and immigrant youth — are disproportionately impacted by environmental racism, climate anxiety, and shrinking access to public green space. For going on six years, we've transformed parks and community gardens across the city into living classrooms and catalysts for climate justice, cultural restoration, and community-driven solutions.

The 2027 EMC will take place at Lefferts Historic House in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
